כִּסֵּא m.n. (pl. כִּסְאוֹת) chair, throne. [Prob. a loan word of Akka. kussu (= chair, throne), which itself is prob. borrowed from Sumerian guza. cp. the collateral Akkad. form kursu. BAram. כָּרְסֵא, Aram.-Syr. כּוּרְסְיָא, Ugar. ks, are of the same origin. Arab. kursiyy is prob. an Aram. loan word. cp. כֵּס. cp. also כֻּרְסָא.]
